Model: HM047BL005-39IH-18A
A 4.7 inch IPS module that pairs the classic 4:3 aspect ratio with a resolution most handhelds never reach. At 1280×960, this panel delivers roughly 340 pixels per inch — sharp enough that individual pixels disappear at normal playing distance, while games authored for 4:3 still fill the screen edge to edge.
For console makers building a premium handheld, this is the display that separates the product from entry-level hardware: original aspect ratio, modern sharpness, and a module just 2.14 mm thick.

4:3 without the pixel penalty. Retro titles and emulators are authored at 4:3. A 1280×960 panel is a clean 2× multiple of 640×480, so classic frames scale to the full screen without the shimmer and uneven edges that come from non-integer scaling.
340 PPI, read at arm’s length. Menus, small UI text and modern indie titles all benefit from the density. Where an entry-level handheld shows visible pixel structure, this panel does not.
MIPI for the bandwidth. A MIPI DSI interface carries 1280×960 comfortably and matches the application processors used in current handheld consoles. RGB, LVDS and SPI versions of our small displays are available where your SoC calls for them.
2.14 mm thin. High resolution usually costs thickness. At 2.14 mm this module leaves room for a larger battery or a slimmer shell — the two things handheld buyers notice first.
IPS, Normally Black. Color and contrast stay stable across the full viewing angle, and dark scenes stay properly dark rather than washing out to grey.
Over 60% of the modules we ship are customized. For this display we can adapt cover glass shape, thickness, printing and openings; optical bonding, with or without a capacitive touch panel; FPC length, shape and pin definition; backlight brightness and driving; and interface definition.
Optical bonding removes the air gap behind the cover glass, reducing reflection under room and outdoor lighting, deepening contrast and adding impact strength to a device that gets carried and dropped.
Every module is produced under an IATF 16949 quality system in our own factory in Shanggao, Jiangxi, in 4,000 m² of Class 1,000 cleanroom. Each unit is 100% lighting-tested before shipment, and new designs are validated with high- and low-temperature cycling, damp-heat aging, ESD, drop and vibration testing. Our factory also holds ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IECQ QC 080000 certification, and all modules comply with RoHS, with third-party reports available on request.
Premium handheld game consoles, retro gaming handhelds, portable emulation devices, tabletop and mini arcade machines, high-resolution 4:3 instrument panels, and portable media terminals.
Send us your shell drawing, SoC and interface, cover glass and touch requirement, target refresh rate and estimated annual quantity. Our engineers will confirm the specification, quote the module and arrange samples — built on the same automated lines used for mass production.
