Model: HET043BL020-40IB-16A
A 4.3 inch widescreen IPS module for vehicle panels where space is tight: compact dashboards, HVAC and comfort controls, accessory panels, marine and powersports gauges, and machine cabs. At 112.1 × 74.8 mm it takes up noticeably less panel area than a 5 inch module while running the same 480×272 resolution, the same parallel RGB interface and the same driver code.

Both this module and our 5.0 inch 480×272 module share the same resolution, the same RGB interface and the same graphics assets, so switching between them costs no software work. The choice comes down to the panel:
| 4.3" HET043BL020-40IB-16A | 5.0" HET050BL002-40IB-20A | |
|---|---|---|
| Module outline | 112.1 × 74.8 mm | 120.7 × 75.8 mm |
| Thickness | 4.92 mm | 2.78 mm |
| Pixel density | Approx. 128 PPI | Approx. 110 PPI |
| Best for | Tight panel openings, denser text | Larger icons, easier reading at distance |
Choose 4.3 inch when the opening is fixed and every millimetre counts, or when the interface shows more text and finer graphics. Choose 5 inch when the display is read from further away, or when a slimmer stack matters more than panel area.
Same code, smaller panel. 480×272 over a parallel RGB bus drives directly from the MCUs and low-cost SoCs used in vehicle control boards — no high-speed serial link, no bridge IC, modest frame buffer and low power draw.
IPS, Normally Black. Dashboard and control displays are read from an angle far more often than head-on. IPS holds color and contrast across the full viewing angle, and the normally black structure keeps night-mode interfaces properly dark.
Stable across batches. High-stability liquid crystal materials and an evenly tuned backlight keep brightness uniform across the panel and consistent from lot to lot, with no flicker and reliable low-temperature start-up.
We supply this module with custom cover glass cut to your panel outline, with printed borders, icon legends and button markings — such as SET and SEL — screen-printed directly onto the glass, plus openings for keys, LEDs or sensors.
The cover glass is optically bonded to the display, removing the air gap behind the glass, cutting reflection under direct sun, deepening contrast and strengthening the front surface. A capacitive touch panel can be integrated in the same stack where the interface calls for touch rather than physical buttons.
FPC length, shape and pin definition, backlight brightness and interface definition can all be adapted, with MIPI, LVDS and SPI options available across our range.
Our Shanggao factory is certified to IATF 16949:2016 by Zhong An FCAV International, with a scope covering the design and manufacture of liquid crystal display modules. We also hold ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and IECQ QC 080000 certification, and all modules comply with RoHS, with third-party test reports available for your supplier qualification.
Every unit is 100% lighting-tested before shipment, and new designs are validated with high- and low-temperature cycling, damp-heat aging, ESD, drop and vibration testing before mass production.
Compact vehicle dashboards and instrument panels, HVAC and comfort controls, aftermarket accessory displays, marine and powersports gauges, forklift and agricultural machine cabs, RV and caravan control panels, and industrial vehicle terminals.
Send us your panel drawing and cover glass artwork, interface, required operating temperature range, brightness target and estimated annual quantity. Our engineers will confirm the specification, quote the module and arrange samples — built on the same automated lines used for mass production.
